It's easy with hindsight to see the outcome as inevitable: advertise your virginity as being available, and you are bound to get people who will see that as a trophy to compete for, in any way necessary.
But you were certainly old (and clever) enough to know that there are people who will lie in order to get the sex they want, and my favourite post is the 'NOT over' one.
I've seen the comment about you getting married, and I'm left with the thought that it is with Miss J, the most interesting of all the dates!
